The most extreme step you can take is to erase your iPhone, which deletes all of your data and settings and returns it to its factory default state. But before you do that, you should try resetting your Apple ID password one more time.

If you can’t remember your Apple ID password, you can reset it using the Apple ID account page. This will send a verification code to your primary email address, which you can use to reset your password. If you don’t have access to your primary email address, you can try resetting your password using your security questions.

If you can’t reset your password using either of these methods, you’ll need to erase your iPhone. This will delete all of your data and settings, so be sure to back up your iPhone first. To erase your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
