Samsung and ABB have teamed up to create a smarter home

A new agreement between Samsung and ABB, the world’s largest industrial technology company, will see SmartThings integrated with ABB’s free@home products.

This means that Samsung smartphones will be able to control ABB’s automation fleet of smart home gadgets.

An extensive range of products from ABB includes anything from solar panels to automatic locks to refrigerators to washers and dryers to lighting, cameras, and security systems.

The drop-down menu on your Samsung phone makes it simple to access the SmartThings device control tab.

With Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, ABB’s smart home solutions are already compatible. Incorporating SmartThings integration will almost certainly result in additional Bixby functionality.
