    How To Compress File to Zip Format with Android

    There are so many things you can use your android device to do which includes How To Compress File to Zip Format with Android.  Most people think that you can only use PC to make a zip, rar, tar files without knowing their android phone can also do the work without stress. A Zip is a file that contains content that is compressed basically for transmissions or storage. A file that has 100MB before compression will end up having smaller storage spaces like 50MB (which may also be bigger or smaller than 50MB).

    To be able to Compress a File to Zip Format with Android, you just need an app. Several apps do that e.g. 7zip, WinRar, ES File Explorer but I will be using ES File Explorer as a case study Because it serves multipurpose than orders and also my favorite.

    What is ES File Explorer?

    ES File Explorer is a file manager app which helps mobile users (Android) to manage their apps easily and also do other things with awesome features.

    Steps on How To Compress File to Zip Format with Android

    First, Visit Here to download it or Goto google and search ES File Explorer and Download.

    After Downloading and Installing, Open it.

    We are going to be compressing an imaginary file named CLOUDORIAN, After opening the app, Click on your SDCARD Storage or Internal Storage just at the top on the homepage of the app.

    Then locate your file To be compressed. Now Long press to mark it.

    Then click on the three vertical dotted lines bearing More at the right bottom on the screen.

    Click on Click on COMPRESS from the options and then name your file, choose zip (though its default) and On compress level choose any level ranging from STANDARD to BEST (I recommend choosing Best for Big files for better compression).

    You can enter a password in the password area to encrypt it if you want and now press OK to start compressing, Wait till it is done.
