Last Chance to Get Your Bootloader Unlocked Before LG Shuts Down its Developer Website

With its retirement from the smartphone market revealed, LG pledged three years of OS updates for its most current flagship phones to ensure that committed customers were not left dissatisfied. However, starting next month, LG will no longer be providing bootloader unlocking keys.

There is a warning on the developer website stating that the company will end it and “all information provided on the website and releasing the bootloader unlock key will not be available” after Dec. 31, 2021.

In other words, if you’re planning on keeping your LG phone for a while and want to root it or install a custom ROM, now is your opportunity. It’s definitely the best way to keep your LG phone relevant for longer if you’re a diehard fan.
